Wildwood Park Nature Walk

TIME: Every Saturday at 11:00am and 1:30pm
WHERE: Cascade Streamwatch Trailhead
DESCRIPTION: Immerse yourself along the Wild & Scenic Salmon River and discover the unique life history of salmon in this complex and thriving stream ecosystem. Led by Forest Service Interpreters, the hour hike begins at the Cascade Streamwatch Trailhead.
INFO: Park entrance fee required when entering Wildwood Park.

 

Trillium Lake Nature Walk

TIME: Aug. 19 at 11:00am
WHERE: Trillium Lake
DESCRIPTION: Discover wildflowers and learn about local geologic and cultural history as you stroll around Trillium Lake with a Forest Service Interpreter.
INFO: Meet your guide near the south end of the lake at the day use parking area. Northwest Forest Pass required when parking at the day use area.

 

Trillium Lake Campfire Program

TIME: Every Saturday evening at 7:00pm
WHERE: Trillium Lake Campground Amphitheater
DESCRIPTION: Bring the whole family and meet the Forest Service Interpreters for an educational evening of interactive FUN! Stories, legends, games and prizes for kids of all ages!
INFO: For those not camping at Trillium Lake parking is available in the Trillium Lake Day use parking area at the south end of the lake near the dam. A short walk along a well developed trail leads you right to the amphitheater. A Northwest Forest Pass is required when parking at Trillium Lake Day Use Area.

 

Speaking Of Music: The Many Musical Facets of Yo Yo Ma

Hood to Coast Relay Race

TIME: Aug. 25-26
DESCRIPTION: The largest relay race in North America, The Hood To Coast Relay stretches 197 miles from the top of Oregon's majestic Mt. Hood down to the beautiful Pacific Ocean in Seaside, Oregon. Over 12,000 runners and 4,800 walkers in the Portland to Coast Walk, show up to experience this annual event, now in its 25th year!

Tour of Salmon Habitat Restoration Projects

TIME: Aug. 28 at 6:30pm
WHERE: The Resort at The Mountain
DESCRIPTION: See new projects underway to reduce bank erosion and improve habitat for fish in the Salmon River. Thanks to the great work by The Resort staff and many partner groups, golfers and other visitors can now see Coho salmon spawning in the Wee Burn each autumn. Duane Bishop, fisheries biologist at the Zigzag Ranger District, will be the guide.

Hoodland Womens Club 3rd Annual Golf Tournament
