Tantalizing Food Awaits You at the Still Creek Inn

In the Village of Rhododendron

Chef Brigette Romeo and her partner Michael Hedrick purchased The Alpine Hut (a landmark family-style restaurant for 20 years) earlier this June and set about remodeling. The transformation is complete, Brigette and Michael invite you to their new restaurant, called Still Creek Inn.

Still Creek Inn offers the fare of a steak and seafood house, including a number of dishes that have signature Northwest cuisine flavor and presentation.

Appetizers include Dungeness Crab Cakes, Marsala Button Mushrooms, and Crispy Brie with Roasted Garlic, among others.

Entrees such as Alder Smoked Salmon can be found in a specialty fettuccini dish and a crisp caesar salad. A growing favorite among locals is the Inn's slow roasted Rosemary Crusted Prime Rib with creamy horseradish and au jus. This entree is served only on Friday and Saturday evenings. You can't miss with their Chicken Orchiette Pasta -- delicate chicken breast sauteed with spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes in a heavenly garlic cream sauce.

The Inn also offers breakfast and lunch fare and is becoming known for its Kids Meals for ages 12 and under.

Brigette Romeo is very well acquainted with the mountain's cuisine scene. She is a graduate of the Horst Mager Culinary Institute (1985) and gained much of her experience at Timberline Lodge with Chef Leif Benson as well as Chalet Swiss with Chef Kurt Metzger. She also honed her skills at The Resort at The Mountain with Chef Dale Rasmussen, and was Executive Chef for the Persimmon Country Club in Gresham before opening her own Wildwood Cafe and Catering in Welches, Oregon several years ago.

Always energetic, Brigette also serves as President of the Mt. Hood Cuisine Association and Vice President for Membership, Mt. Hood Area Chamber of Commerce. July/August 2006
